Four maps, one changed series

Sunset was Nova’s pick, but Yew Reign won it 13-4. That result made the opening map an exception to any simple assumption that a team’s selection would favor it. Split, chosen by Yew Reign, went 13-6 to Nova, immediately reversing the series direction. The first two maps were not narrow finishes; each side took a clear win on a map selected by the other.

Summit was Nova’s second selection and produced the closest score of the match: 17-15. Its length matters because the third map turned a level series into a Nova lead without settling the best-of-five. Lotus, Yew Reign’s second selection, ended 13-10 for Nova. With three map wins secured, Nova did not need to play the remaining Ascent decider. The score sheet supports a comeback after one lost map, not a reverse sweep from an 0-2 series deficit.

That map order also keeps the central story precise. Nova’s qualification was built on three consecutive wins after Sunset, but those wins came through different kinds of score line: a 13-6 response, a 17-15 extended contest and a 13-10 finish. The numbers show how the lead moved and where the bracket place was secured. They do not identify a decisive individual play or prove a particular tactical cause. Without a verified account of those details, the result should stand on the recorded maps and the tournament consequence.

Nova had reached this match by navigating the lower side of the main event. After its September 16 loss to Havoc & Yonder GC, it beat Quguanghao Gaming 2-0 on September 17 and Victory No Limits Gaming GC 2-1 on September 18. The win over Yew Reign was the next required step. For Yew Reign, a 0-2 upper-final loss followed by this 1-3 lower-final defeat closed its path. Those prior results explain why the teams met here without pretending the past maps determined the new ones.

Nova earns a rematch with Havoc & Yonder

The lower-final result set up a September 20 grand final between Nova Esports GC and Havoc & Yonder GC. They had already met in this event: Havoc & Yonder won their September 16 upper semifinal 2-1. Nova’s lower-bracket run created a second meeting, this time with the China title at stake. Havoc & Yonder also defeated Yew Reign 2-0 in the upper final before Nova eliminated that same opponent.

That route gives readers useful context, but it is not a prediction or a report on the final’s outcome. The earlier head-to-head result and each team’s path to the title match are established. Nova can point to a verified recovery in the lower final and a return to the title match. Havoc & Yonder arrived through the upper bracket. The championship result must be reported separately on its own terms rather than assumed from either route.

Nova’s 3-1 lower-final win was a recovery from a lost opener and the final step in a three-match run through the lower bracket. It earned a September 20 grand-final rematch with Havoc & Yonder GC and ended Yew Reign’s campaign in third place. The match record establishes Nova’s route to the final without presuming the later championship result.

Nova Esports GC beat Yew Reign Gaming 3-1 in the Game Changers China lower final and earned a September 20 rematch with Havoc & Yonder GC.

Nova Esports GC beat Yew Reign Gaming 3-1 in the Game Changers China lower final and earned a September 20 rematch with Havoc & Yonder GC.
[7

post-5811","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news

!["Conceptual]("https://valorant.casecs2.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/nova-bracket.jpg")
