The work benjyfishy wants from the break

Missing Champions creates more time away from official matches than Heretics expected. benjyfishy said he intends to use that period to play more, trust his ability and work back toward the level he believes he can reach. Confidence in this context is not a promised result. It is the focus he chose for practice after a season with sharp contrasts. The interview gives no scrim record, return date or guarantee that the same lineup will begin the next competition.

His comments also show that the reset is not framed as a complete rebuild of his equipment or habits. He emphasized comfort and avoiding distractions when discussing his setup, describing the ideal mouse as an extension of the hand. That detail supports a broader point: he wants the offseason emphasis on performance rather than constant mechanical change. Product preference is personal and does not establish that another player would gain the same benefit. The competitive takeaway remains his plan to grind and improve confidence.

benjyfishy also welcomed the more open direction announced for 2027. The structure described in the interview keeps eight partner teams in the initial field and adds four teams through open qualifying. He expects that route to place more attention on tier-two and previously unknown players, while creating opportunities for upsets. That is his assessment of the format’s potential, not a prediction about which specific team will qualify or defeat a partner.

His balance suggestions should be treated the same way. He said he would be happy to see the current Sentinel group strengthened and expressed interest in a small Neon nerf. Riot has not turned those preferences into confirmed changes through this interview. A professional player’s view can illuminate what he feels in competition, but it is not a patch note. Keeping opinion and announced design work separate prevents an interview from becoming false update coverage.

Why the 2027 format matters to his reset

A larger open route means established teams can face opponents with less Tier 1 exposure from the start of the season. For Heretics, that makes an offseason reset relevant beyond simply returning to familiar regional rivals. For benjyfishy, it also connects his own career transition with a broader opportunity for new players: he moved from another esport into VALORANT and now sees value in systems that give unknown talent a visible path. The comparison is editorial context, not a claim that every qualifier will follow his route.

The practical checkpoints remain straightforward. Heretics must eventually announce its competitive plans and roster, while benjyfishy’s progress can only be judged once official matches resume. Until then, the interview supplies an honest self-assessment and a stated training direction. It does not confirm a transfer, retirement or role change. The useful news is how one of the team’s leading players understands the setback and what he intends to do with the extra time.

benjyfishy views Heretics’ 2026 as below the team’s standard even with an EMEA title, and he has identified confidence and sustained practice as his own offseason priorities. He also sees the 2027 open route as a chance for new talent to gain attention. The interview points to preparation, not an announced roster change.

benjyfishy says Team Heretics fell below its standard in 2026 and plans to use the extended offseason to rebuild confidence and keep grinding.

benjyfishy says Team Heretics fell below its standard in 2026 and plans to use the extended offseason to rebuild confidence and keep grinding.
[7

post-5906","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news

!["Conceptual]("https://valorant.casecs2.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/benjy-offseason-3.jpg")
