VALORANT Champions Shanghai viewers have a new deadline approaching: Playoffs Pick’Ems open on October 4 after the Draw Show and lock on October 7 at approximately 2:10 AM PT. Riot’s official event program also includes broadcast Drops and desktop Twitch rewards through Shotcall. Each system has a different requirement, so simply watching does not unlock every item.

The standard broadcast Drops use time watched as the main condition. Riot lists the Prepared title for viewers who watch at least 30 minutes during the group stage or playoffs. A separate Stamp of Approval spray requires at least 30 minutes of the Grand Final. The two windows should not be merged, because time during an earlier playoff match does not satisfy the final-specific reward description.

Shotcall is interactive rather than passive. It runs through the official VCT Twitch broadcast on desktop and asks viewers to predict maps, rounds and important moments while matches are live. Earning 50 points across Champions unlocks The Catch title, while 300 points unlocks the Crab Buddy.

The Trophy player card uses a placement condition instead of a fixed point total. Riot requires a top-three-percent finish on any map during Champions Shanghai. That wording means a viewer can qualify through one strong map leaderboard result; it does not say that merely opening Shotcall or submitting one prediction guarantees the card.

"A

Playoffs Pick’Ems use a separate reward ladder

The playoff prediction window opens once the October 4 Draw Show is complete and the matchups are confirmed. Picks then lock on October 7 at approximately 2:10 AM PT, ten minutes after the first playoff match begins according to Riot’s schedule. Waiting until the broadcast is well underway risks missing the cutoff.

Participation awards the Calculated title. Finishing in the top 50 percent awards the Stone of Heaven gun buddy, while the top 20 percent tier awards the Pick’Ems Master: Stone of Heaven gun buddy. Perfect picks receive the 100% title. Riot says the rewards are cumulative, so reaching a higher listed tier also includes the lower eligible rewards.

Pick’Ems can be made through the VALORANT client or the official esports website. Shotcall, by contrast, is specifically described as a desktop Twitch feature. Keeping those access routes separate prevents a common mistake: completing bracket picks does not generate Shotcall points, and live Shotcall predictions do not submit a playoff bracket.

A valid Riot Account is required to play and receive the Pick’Ems rewards. Riot also lists regional exclusions and notes that eligibility may vary under local rules. Readers should therefore check the official eligibility statement rather than assume that a stream view alone overrides restrictions in their location.

Account linking and the correct broadcast environment are practical safeguards for Drops. Riot’s article directs viewers to official broadcasts and identifies the official VCT Twitch stream for Shotcall. Unofficial restreams or mobile viewing may not provide the same interactive feature, even if they show the match itself.

The schedule creates two immediate actions. Viewers who want playoff prediction rewards should return after the Draw Show to submit a bracket before the lock. Those pursuing Shotcall rewards need the desktop Twitch experience during live matches and must accumulate the listed points or placement.

Use the requirement tied to each reward

The cleanest way to avoid confusion is to treat Drops, Shotcall and Pick’Ems as three separate systems. Drops measure viewing time in specified tournament windows. Shotcall measures live prediction points or a map-level percentile finish. Pick’Ems measure bracket participation and final ranking.

The remaining tournament calendar keeps all three relevant. Group and playoff viewing can satisfy the Prepared title condition, the Grand Final carries its own spray, and Shotcall points can be earned across Champions. The playoff bracket has the narrowest entry window because it opens only after the draw and closes shortly after the first playoff match begins.

Riot may display progress through its connected services, but the official thresholds are the reliable basis for planning. A viewer should sign in with an eligible Riot Account, use the supported platform for the chosen activity and confirm that the action registered before the relevant deadline.

"Separate

Champions Shanghai offers several reward paths, but they are not interchangeable. Thirty-minute viewing windows govern the two Drops, desktop Twitch performance governs Shotcall rewards, and bracket results govern Playoffs Pick’Ems. The next key moment is October 4, when the playoff draw is complete and the new prediction window opens.
