A missing research group leads the pair beneath the ice
Director Kathleen Bowe sends the explorers to investigate a research group that disappeared in Antarctica. The investigation leaves both players trapped below the surface, inside the retrofuturistic Norcek Industries complex. The story moves through laboratories, machinery and spaces altered by experiments with time, gravity and distance.

Previous games in the series are not required. We Were Here Tomorrow tells a self-contained story, although returning players will recognise the use of walkie-talkies and divided information. The campaign lasts about ten to fifteen hours, making it the largest single adventure in the series so far.
Each player receives a different part of the puzzle
One explorer may see a set of controls while the other holds the instructions. Some puzzles also separate actions across different times or change the position and gravity of a room. Neither player can solve these sections by looking only at their own screen.
The game introduces new tools and abilities, but it does not describe them as an upgrade system. Their purpose is to give each explorer a different way to interact with the same puzzle. Players must explain what they see, compare results and coordinate the order of their actions.

Two players, internet access and microphones are required
The campaign has no single-player mode. Each participant needs a copy of the game, an internet connection and a working microphone. Crossplay connects the Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, so both players do not need to use the same platform.
Russian subtitles are available. Spoken communication remains important because the asymmetric clues often contain shapes, positions and timing that must be described immediately. The challenge comes from sharing incomplete information, not from ordinary combat or a shared on-screen marker.

The Steam launch discount runs until November 3
The standard price is 19.99 dollars, 19.99 euros or 16.99 pounds. Steam offers a ten-percent launch discount until November 3, 2026. That deadline applies to the Steam offer and should not be assumed for the console stores without a separate announcement.
The optional Fan Edition contains a digital art book, the official soundtrack and exclusive wallpapers. The complete playable campaign is included in the standard edition. The extra package is presentation material for players who want more art and music, not a second story chapter.
